WHAT IF ADAM AND EVE HAD NOT EATEN THAT FRUIT…

GENESIS 3

1  Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,

3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.

5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it…

Yadayadayada… Time out!

Now let’s hold on a second… let’s just hold it there. Of course we all know how the story ended.
God showed up and they went into hiding because they had disobeyed. Naturally God wasn’t pleased with what they had done so in addition to the fruit they had eaten, they all got their just desserts (Excuse the pun).

Including the serpent of course.
And all these led to a whole lot of series of events that have brought us to this moment.

But then I wonder sometimes as I’m sure a lot of you reading this probably have; What exactly would this world have looked like if Eve and consequently Adam had not eaten that forbidden fruit?

You’ve thought about it too, right?

What exactly would this world look like if GENESIS 3 had started like this:

6 (When the woman saw that the serpent was going to make her disobey God, she rebuked him saying, “Away from me you vile creature! Did you think I would be swayed by an evil, four-legged worm like you?” And the serpent left her.)

In retrospect, wouldn’t that have been a wonderful story? Wasn’t that the way to go?

Now if that had been the case, imagine what this world would have looked like now as I help guide your thought with this mini-series I got lined up for you…

THOUSANDS OF YEARS AFTER…
