  1. I’m old school about this: in my opinion, guys are hunters. Why then do their job for them? Also, I believe that no matter how shy a guy is, if he really likes you, he’ll tell you. A lot of ladies have ended up with broken hearts simply because a guy was always nice to them and they assumed he liked them…

  2. Personally,i admire boldness in ladies, but like most things, there’s a downside to more ladies going all the way. for a few minutes, let’s forget about the paternalistic pattern of the world, male chauvinism, the “what a man can do,a woman can do better”,the women empowerment issues. there’s something about the make-up(?genetic) of the male that inspires strength and courage in him when he sees the woman he desires. take a cue from Adam (on sighting Eve). we have been misusing that drive from time immemorial. While some men will appreciate this help, over time, what happens when a man’s initial attraction to his woman wanes?(oh,it can!) A man’s word is his bond.what happens when there’s no word from him?No word to keep or hold on to.
what we want these days are real men taking responsibilities ,not shirking them;men ‘manning up’. ladies doing the asking/proposing is a bold/brave thing, but i think they should stick to their subtle,not-so-subtle and strong hints. weak argument, you might say but this is my take on this matter.great write-up bro!

  3. Whether you are old fashion or grew up in the ADs, you are living in the world of today. If you sit on your ass waiting for someone you adore & have good communication with to make the first move because of gender?, you lack the maturity to be in a relationship. (Oh!. My opinion)

  5. Like you said, they have established a good communication beforehand. But en, I dont think they have to say the words, I mean d ladies. The lady can bring up the topic, ask why he isnt taking the step, etc. In a mature way. Because, men still like to bé men. It wouldnt sound so nice when one is telling the story of how they ended up together and everyone has to hear that the lady ‘popped’ the question.
It can bé discussed just like one is talking to a confidant, a close friend.
But every man no matter how timid he is will still like to bé given room to bé a man.
    Thanks 4 d write-up.
Didnt know many ladies are willing to not bé stereotype

  6. Call me Old fashioned or immature.. A lady that is forward enough to ask me out is NOT my type.. (Immature old fashioned guys are allowed to have opinions and preferences I hope?) That ladies and gents is what I consider the meat of the issue! Personal preferences.. Whatever society thinks is appropriate should never be an index for making life and love decisions. There is no generally okay or wrong order of proposing.. Each guy and girl must decide what’s best in their own unique case

  7. If the guy cannot open his mouth,I definitely don’t see any thing wrong if the lady helps him out. Not by direct proposal, but an interactive session in one of their intimate periods (since they are best friends already) directed towards that line will definitely ease the guy and he’ll be more comfortable and courageous to state his mind…
